Put This On Your Radar

Privacy Policy

Last updated: 23 October 2026

This Privacy Policy describes how Put This On Your Radar ("we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, and shares information about you when you use our website at https://putthisonyourradar.app (the "Service").

This policy is governed by the Australian Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs).

1. Information We Collect

We may collect the following types of personal information:

  • Your name, as you enter it or as Discord provides it
  • Email address
  • Your password, stored only as a one-way hash
  • If you sign in with Discord: your Discord account ID, your Discord profile picture link, and the sign-in tokens that Discord issues
  • Passkeys you add: each passkey's public key, its name, and the type of device that holds it
  • Your settings on the Account page: your preferred platform, and whether your name and profile show
  • Usage data and interaction with our website
  • Cookie and session data
  • The IP address and browser details (user agent) of each signed-in session
  • Your time zone, so that dates show on your own day
  • Radars you create, the games on them, and who you share them with
  • A secret key for each Calendar Link you create, which lets your calendar app read the radar
  • Email addresses of people you share a radar with or invite to a game night
  • Game nights you create or co-edit, the games you add to them, and your votes

An account needs an email address, which you enter or Discord provides. We use it to sign you in, to verify the account, and to show you the radars shared with that address. Without one, we cannot create an account.

When you share a radar, we store the email address you enter so that the person with that address can view the radar when they sign in. That person does not need to have an account.

When you invite a person to a game night by email, we store the email address you enter and send that person one email with a link to join the game night. The email shows the game night's name and your name, unless you turned off "Show my name" on the Account page. That person does not need to have an account to receive the email. The link stops working after 14 days. We keep the address until the invite is used or revoked, the game night is deleted, or a day after the invite expires.

On a game night, your name shows beside the games you add, to everyone who can view the game night, unless you turned off "Show my name". The owner and the co-editors can also see your name beside your votes. Anyone who can view a public game night can see its games and the number of votes, but not who voted.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Provide, maintain, and improve the Service
  • Respond to your enquiries and provide customer support
  • Monitor and analyse usage patterns to improve user experience
  • Send you emails about your account, such as the link that verifies your email address, and about changes to the Service
  • Send a person an email invite to a game night when the game night's owner asks us to
  • Comply with legal obligations

3. Legal Basis for Processing

We process your personal data on the following legal bases: (a) Contract — to provide you with the Service; (b) Legitimate interests — to improve our Service, prevent fraud, tell you about changes to the Service, and send a person an invite to a game night; (c) Consent — where you have provided consent; (d) Legal obligation — where required by law. We do not send marketing emails.

4. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services which may collect information as described in their privacy policies:

  • Cloudflare — cloud infrastructure, hosting, data storage, email delivery, and website analytics. Privacy Policy
  • Discord — sign-in with a Discord account, if you choose it. Privacy Policy
  • YouTube (Google) — game videos, in privacy-enhanced mode, when you play one. Privacy Policy

5. Data Retention & Security

We retain personal information only for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes outlined in this policy, or as required by law. When you delete your account or other data, our database backups and server logs can keep a copy of it for up to 30 days, after which it is gone. We implement appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your personal information against unauthorised access, loss, or destruction.

6. Your Rights Under GDPR

If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA) or UK, you have the following rights regarding your personal data:

  • Right to access — request a copy of the data we hold about you. You can also download it yourself on the Account page.
  • Right to rectification — request correction of inaccurate data.
  • Right to erasure — request deletion of your personal data. You can also delete your account yourself on the Account page. This deletes your account, your radars with their entries and shares, and your game nights with their games, invites, and votes. It also removes you from the game nights you co-edit, with your votes on them; games you added to another person's game night stay on that game night without your name.
  • Right to restrict processing — request that we limit how we use your data.
  • Right to data portability — receive your data in a machine-readable format. The download on the Account page is a JSON file.
  • Right to object — object to processing based on legitimate interests.

To exercise these rights, contact us at legal@putthisonyourradar.app. We will respond within 30 days.

7. California Privacy Rights (CCPA)

If you are a California resident, you have the right to: (a) know what personal information we collect; (b) request deletion of your personal information; (c) opt out of the sale of your personal information. We do not sell personal information. To exercise your rights, contact us at legal@putthisonyourradar.app.

8. Children's Privacy

Put This On Your Radar does not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 13. If you believe we have inadvertently collected information from a child, please contact us immediately at legal@putthisonyourradar.app and we will take steps to delete it.

9. Cookies

Cookies are small data files stored on your device. We use only cookies that are strictly necessary to provide the Service: to keep you signed in, and to support its essential functionality, such as remembering your time zone. We do not use cookies to track you or for advertising, and our website analytics do not use cookies. Our hosting provider, Cloudflare, may set cookies that protect the Service from bots and abuse. When you play a game video, YouTube may store data on your device as described in its privacy policy. You can instruct your browser to refuse all cookies or to indicate when a cookie is being sent. However, if you do not accept cookies, you will not be able to sign in, and parts of the Service may not work as intended.

10. Links to Other Sites

Our Service may contain links to third-party websites. We have no control over and assume no responsibility for the content, privacy policies, or practices of any third-party sites. We encourage you to review the privacy policy of every site you visit.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new policy on this page and updating the "Last updated" date. You are advised to review this Privacy Policy periodically for any changes.
